JEDDAH, 28 October 2003 — People in the Kingdom are expected to withdraw about SR20 billion through ATMs and other sales points during Ramadan, Okaz reported yesterday quoting banking sources. Bankers said they had deposited SR10 billion in ATM machines for the first two weeks of the month. They expect a 16 percent increase in cash withdrawals during the month compared to last year. Ten commercial banks in the Kingdom have 3,211 ATMs in various parts of the country. The banks have issued 6.24 million ATM cards.
