RIYADH, 4 November 2003 — Various parts of the public sector in the Kingdom have agreed to purchase medicine and medical supplies jointly through the GCC executive office, Health Ministry Dr. Hamad Al-Manie said here yesterday. He said the combined purchase would not only help reduce cost but also overcome bureaucratic procedures. A meeting of public sector representatives has decided to set up a committee to work out a unified standard.
