DUBAI, 22 November 2003 — The president of the United Arab Emirates has returned home after undergoing surgery in London, the official Emirates News Agency reported yesterday.
Sheikh Zayed ibn Sultan Al-Nahayan returned to Abu Dhabi, the capital, late Thursday. He traveled to Britain last month where he underwent surgery to remove gallstones shortly after arriving. Sheikh Zayed is both the federal president of the UAE, and the ruler of Abu Dhabi.
