JEDDAH, 26 November 2003 — Saudi Arabia and the United States yesterday reiterated their resolve to work together to stamp out terrorism in their countries. “Americans share with Saudis their hope for peace and prosperity free of tyranny and terrorism,” US President George W. Bush said in his Eid message. The message was addressed to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd, who in his reply expressed the hope that the two countries would be saved from the forces of evil, terror and corruption. In a separate message to Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, Bush called for peace and freedom in the Middle East. “The Saudi and American people, united by their strong belief in God, share the hope for peace, prosperity and freedom in the Middle East,” he said.
