YANBU, 7 March 2004 — The principal of a girls’ middle school in Yanbu has punished a student for writing the name, Muhammad Attiyah, the Egyptian star of the TV show, Star Academy, on the board, Madinah reported. The trouble began when the history teacher found the star’s name written on the board. She informed the school principal who said she would punish the student who wrote the name. An investigation was launched and the girl was identified after matching her handwriting with the writing on the board.
