Bindawood supermarket chain held a function to distribute prizes of the second phase of its competition. Cisco Systems held a gathering for IT specialists and officials at Cisco Expo, which was held in Riyadh recently. Held in partnership with ARCOM, Ebttikar Technology Company, Getronics, Jeraisy and Saudi Business Machines, the meeting discussed a number of issues such as building an intelligent information network, networked virtual organization and Cisco-connected communities with a live demonstration of technology. Cisco’s consultants encouraged Saudi businesses to follow the example of global market leaders in turning their companies into networked virtual organizations. This involves refining business processes to focus on satisfying the customer in the most efficient manner and identifying business partners to manage non-essential functions. “Networked virtual organizations outperform competitors by responding faster to customers, collaborating better with partners to perform value-added activities and fully standardizing their business process, data and IT infrastructure,” said Mark De Simone, Cisco’s vice president for channels, partner and marketing EMEA, who delivered the keynote presentation at the expo. Cisco’s IP networking solutions provide the core infrastructure on which to build a networked virtual organization and which led to the creation of entire networked virtual ecosystems.

Pepsi has launch of a new look can from PepsiCo International. (PI). Pepsi fans will see the existing logo spun 90 degrees to be placed horizontally along the upper part of the blue packaging, replacing the current image that has been consistent for six years. Both Pepsi Cola and Pepsi Diet will carry the new look. Since Pepsi’s launch in 1902, the brand has gone through many facelifts to reflect the ever-changing tastes and lifestyles of consumers around the world. In the same way, the company has successfully managed to touch the hearts of teens and youngsters across the world through association with some of the world’s top football and music stars.
