MADINAH, 13 April 2004 — A Saudi man had to pay more than SR29,000 for 101 traffic violation committed over a period of 12 years. During the time, he had avoided paying anything. In the end, he was forced to pay when he saw that none of his official documents could be renewed until the outstanding fines had been paid. Police said that they were sympathetic and charged him only SR29,000 instead of the full amount which was SR60,000. The violations were committed all over the Kingdom.
