JEDDAH, 13 April 2004 — The first batch of young Saudi cooks who received intensive training in Jordan under the sponsorship of Saudi business graduated recently. They will join Al-Attas Hotels and Restaurants in May.

The course was held at Amroun College for Hotel Business and Tourism in Jordan and sponsored by an Abdul Latif Jameel training program.

“You have proved that Saudis are capable of taking up any professional job. You have set a good example for other Saudi youths,” the program’s chairman Muhammad Jameel told the cooks, who completed the six-month course recently.

Jameel said the Abdul Latif Jameel Fund for Professional Training, which financed the course, would continue to provide similar courses for Saudis in the services of hotels and restaurants here.

Saudi Ambassador to Amman Abdulaziz Al-Ouhali earlier attended the graduation ceremony at the college and distributed certificates to the Saudi cooks.
