TAIF, 27 April 2004 — Police arrested three men who tried to force two girls into their car in a Taif neighborhood, according to Al-Watan daily. The men followed the taxi in which the girls were traveling and forced it to stop. On hearing them scream, bystanders helped the girls to escape. The police swung to action in response to complaints about the young men harassing the girls. Witnesses gave a description of the young men to the police who soon located them. Three of the men were arrested when they tried to run away. A fourth managed to escape. The men were found to be drunk.
