LAGOS, 30 April 2004 — A United Arab Emirate (UAE) chartered cargo plane carrying contraband textiles and other items has been seized by officials of the Nigerian Customs Service, the head of the service has said. Customs chief Jacob Jang Buba told reporters late Wednesday that a Boeing 767 plane, registered with UAE’s Omar Travels, was impounded Monday after it flew into Lagos International Airport with the banned products.
