RIYADH, 1 May 2004 — Authorities yesterday identified the bomber who devastated a security building here on April 21 that killed five and wounded 145 people, as Abdul Aziz ibn Ali Al-Modaihesh. An Interior Ministry official said Modaihesh had driven a white GMC vehicle packed with more than 1,200 kilograms of explosives into the area in front of the building. Modaihesh had been wanted by police for his confirmed links with a deviant group, the official said in an apparent reference to Al-Qaeda. Attempts are “still under way to identify the remains (of another victim) found at the site of the incident,” he added.
