JEDDAH, 5 May 2004 — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, yesterday visited Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, in hospital to reassure themselves about his health.

Prince Sultan, who was admitted to King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital here, underwent a successful operation to remove an intestinal polyp on Monday. A number of other princes and senior officials including Riyadh Governor Prince Salman and Eastern Province Governor Prince Muhammad ibn Fahd also visited Prince Sultan.

Meanwhile, King Juan Carlos of Spain yesterday telephoned Prince Sultan to inquire about his health and wished him speedy recovery. Prince Sultan received a similar call from Djibouti’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
