JEDDAH, 8 May 2004 — The family of the four gunmen who killed five Westerners in the industrial city of Yanbu has threatened to sue two London-based Saudi dissidents for inciting their sons to violence.
Abdul Qader Al-Ansari said the family would sue dissidents Saad Al-Faqih and Mohammed Al-Masari for misguiding his son, Mustafa, who has been identified as the mastermind of last week’s attack in Yanbu.
“It will also demand that they face an international tribunal because they are accomplices in the terrorist crime,” the 82-year-old father said.
Mustafa’s father said he was “looking for incontrovertible evidence” that Faqih and Masari had incited his son to violence which would enable him to sue the two men.
But the father said Mustafa had been mostly influenced by an older brother who fought in Afghanistan and died in Ethiopia at an unspecified date.
