RIYADH, 9 May 2004 — Police in Riyadh arrested a 15-year-old boy dressed as a woman in a shopping mall, Al-Youm reported. Security noticed the individual as he was not walking like a woman and also because he was wearing the kind of sandals Saudi men wear. The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice was called and arrested the teenager. Officials took the boy on a tour of the mall so people could see him in women’s clothes and he would be a lesson to others.
