ABHA, 20 May 2004 — A woman who came to the Kingdom to work as a domestic servant in Abha will marry her sponsor’s 28-year-old son, Al-Watan reported. The woman was brought into the family to help the sponsor’s wife who is in poor health. The sponsor’s son fell in love with her and asked to marry her. The maid agreed and demanded as a dowry that five of her family members be brought to the Kingdom for Haj and Umrah at the young man’s expense. He agreed and the maid went back to her home country. The son will follow to ask officially for her hand in marriage.
