A blue denim jeans or a blouse that still has the spunk but fits no more to your figure after years of devouring “shawarma” or broast chicken?
A refrigerator that could still freeze ice creams and makes delicious ice candies. Or an extra set of mag wheels that can still give a ‘94 Nissan Sunny that added sporty look.
If you have any item that are still functioning, working, usable or wearable, now is your chance to cash in on them and unload those extra baggage.
In celebration of the 106th anniversary of Philippine Independence, the OFW Cooperative Council (OFWCC) will be holding a “Garage Sale” at the Philippine Consulate grounds in Jeddah for three consecutive Fridays, starting June 4.
OFWCC spokesman Alan Exevea said participants are enjoined to bring such items to the consulate and register.
“For heavy or bulky items, bring a colored picture with a complete description of the item, make and model,” he said in a press statement.

During the activity days, mouth-watering Filipino delicacies will be offered at very affordable prices. Exevea said the proceeds from the activity will to the OFWCC’s Community Service program.
The OFWCC is one of the most active organizations in the Kingdom, providing trainings or workshops on livelihood, business and computer literacy to members of the Filipino community.
During the recently concluded Philippine absentee voting, the OFWCC served as a monitor at the Philippine consulate, representing the Manila-based poll watchdog National Movement for Free Election (Namfrel).
