TAIF, 26 May 2004 — Seven girls from a public high school were rushed to hospital suffering from food poisoning after eating food served at their end-of-year ceremony, Al-Watan reported. The girls had severe vomiting and diarrhea while some faculty members also showed similar but milder symptoms. Hospital tests revealed food poisoning as the cause and an outside food caterer is being blamed. Gharam-Allah Al-Zahrani, the head of school student affairs in the region, said that the girls had now recovered.
