DAMMAM, 29 May 2004 — The International Indian School Dammam once again topped other schools in the Kingdom as results of the Secondary School Examination (Class X) were announced in New Delhi yesterday. The school achieved 100 percent results with 40 students aggregating 90 percent and above.

The Jubail school also achieved 100 percent results.

The top ranked students in the Kingdom came from Riyadh and Dammam, with Ambasta Anshula of Dammam and Rashmita R. Redkar both achieving 95.6 percent marks. The second highest marks were achieved by Nimmy Elsa Mondly of IISR with 94.2 percent. Hasina Chenganasseri of IISD with 93.8 percent achieved the third-highest marks. Hafsa Saif with 93.2 percent marks tops the Jeddah school.

In Dammam, 512 students passed and only 14 students were listed in the compartment list, while of Riyadh’s 507 students only one failed, though 65 students were in the compartment list. In the Jeddah school a total of 497 students appeared; three students failed and 73 were in the compartment list.

Jubail was far ahead of Jeddah and Riyadh in terms of aggregate, as all 71 students passed and only one figured in the compartment list.

A qualitative analysis of the results shows that in the 90 percent and above marks category, there were 40 students from Dammam, 16 from Riyadh, six from Jeddah and two from Jubail. In the 80 percent and above category there were 133 students from Dammam, 120 from Riyadh, 82 from Jeddah and 26 from Jubail. In the 75 percent and above category as well Dammam school is far ahead of other schools with 71 students, followed by 49 students from Riyadh, 48 from IISJ and 12 from Jubail schools.

The top three rankings of individual schools are as follow: At IISD Ambasta Anshula came first with 95.6 percent, followed by Hasina Chenganasseri with 93.8 percent and Syeda Fatima with 93.6 percent.

At IISR Rashmita R. Redkar topped the school with 95.6 percent, followed by Nimmy Elsa Mondly with 94.2 percent and Beyan Jacob 93.2 percent.

At IISJ Hafsa Saif came first with 93.2 percent, followed by Hanaa Rahman with 93 percent and Nada Mustaq A. with 90.8 percent.

In the Jubail school Deepali Joglekar with 90.4 percent was first followed by Pavitra Balasubramaniyam with 90.2 percent and Aritri Dhar 89.6 percent.

At IISD, Padmasahini Gnanam scored 100 marks in Math while Hasina Chenganasseri scored 100 marks in Science.

Girls as usual performed much better than boys in all the four schools in the Kingdom.
