RIYADH, 29 May 2004 — Four people were injured when two cars driven by teenage joyriders plowed into two family homes after colliding in the road outside.
The accident, in the Areeja neighborhood, created panic among the family members who thought that their houses were being bombed, Al-Watan reported yesterday.
“One of the cars ... went 10 meters deep into a house,” the paper said. One of the drivers was injured and taken to hospital. Witnesses said the cars collided at high speed at a junction close to the house and spun out of control.
