Casio Computer Co. Ltd. (CCC) announced the release of its new Exilim Pro EX-P600 digital camera at a press conference hosted by Mahmood Saleh Abbar Co. at Radisson SAS Hotel in Jeddah on Sunday. As the flagship model in Exilim family of stylish cameras, features hi-resolution 6 megapixel CCD that enables recording photos up to a resolution of 2816 X 2112 pixels, CCC's senior executive Nobuki Sato said. Sato and Mahmood Saleh Abbar Co.'s Casio Division Manager Muhammad Ali Basorrah and executive Salim Ahmed Baharith explained different features of the new product range. Its features include large caliber lens with 16 X zoom, including 4 X optical zoom lens and 4 X digital zoom lens. The lens has an automatic barrier for protection, hi-definition 2.0 inch TFT LCD in an elegant stainless steel compact metal body size of 97.5W X 67.5H X 45.1D. The EX-P600 camera has fully been packed to offer hi-speed auto focusing by hybrid AF system to take either three or five photos in addition to exposure variation (AEB), white balance (WBB) and focus positioning (AFB), the multi-bracketing feature also allows users to; choose variations of color portrait, sharpness, saturation and contrast levels. The EX-P600 offers three photos/second high-speed continuous shutter up to a maximum of six photos. The camera's photographic information, such as shutter speed, aperture and focusing can be displayed graphically on the monitor. By pressing the proprietary EX button, the levels for white balance, ISO sensitivity, metering and AF area setting can be displayed and adjusted on a single screen.
Saudi-Belgium Trade
Saudi Arabia's commercial relations with Belgium continue to strengthen. Belgian exports to the Kingdom exceed 668 million euros annually, said Kris Castelein, Belgian commercial attache for its northern Dutch speaking Flanders Region. Main Belgium exports include medicines, chemicals, machinery, transport equipment, textile and food items. Belgian imports from the Kingdom have been around 270 million euros. Castelein made these remarks during the visit of Prince Abdullah Ibn Faisal Al-Turki, former chairman of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, to Belgium last week. The prince held talks with over 25 leading Belgian businessmen.

HVAC service and maintenance firm, Zamil CoolCare - a strategic business unit of Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC) - has received National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) certification from the United States for testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB) air and hydronic systems. ZAC is currently the only NEBB certified TAB organization in the Kingdom. The certification attests the competence and capability of Zamil CoolCare in offering its services in testing, adjusting and balancing air and hydronic environmental systems through proper methods and procedures as established by the NEBB. Proper balancing of air-conditioning equipment is an important final step in the installation process, as it can minimize operating costs and energy bills and improve performance and help achieve the desired indoor environment, according to Faisal Al-Qahtani, general manager of CoolCare. "NEBB certification is part of CoolCare's ambitious plan to make ZAC a one-stop-shop for all HVAC-related needs," he said, adding that the certification was also a reflection of the superior level of teamwork at CoolCare.

United Y.M. Naghi Co. Ltd. (UYMNCL) has implemented its plan to move its operations in Madinah to a new building, which is five times the size of its present location, covering 234 sq. m. The service center moved from King Abdul Aziz Street to a larger new site nearby on the Ring Road, near the King Abdul Aziz roundabout. Its electronics retail showroom and sales offices were set to move by May-end. The new service center offers repair facilities for all of the company's brands including LG, Philips, Meireles and Nardi. It has an on-spot repair facility where products that can be set right within 30 minutes are delivered while customers wait. "The on-spot service facility shows the high degree of technical expertise in our organization," Ahmed Sfarjilani, vice president UYMNCL, said. The new electronics retail showroom will offer a one-stop solution to customer needs with a full range of TV, video and audio sets, home appliances and mobile phones from the company's brands. It will showcase the latest technology incorporated in a wide range of Plasma screens, LCD TV and DVD home theater systems.
Flag Telecom
Flag Telecom, a provider of international wholesale network transport and communications services, announced on Sunday that Oman's national telecoms operator Omantel has signed a dual landing station agreement for the Falcon cable system. This new high-capacity resilient loop will provide multiple landings throughout the Gulf, with submarine links stretching to Egypt in the west and Hong Kong in the east. The Gulf loop and east and west links will interconnect at two landings in Oman. Omantel has also signed a capacity agreement with Flag Telecom, purchasing international connectivity on the Falcon cable system, providing direct connectivity any point on the Flag global network. "Oman is geographically ideally located at the heart of the Falcon route, providing important communication links from the world's business centers to India and Asia to the east and to Egypt in the west. We're looking forward to the introduction of Falcon project and anticipate that it will meet the burgeoning broadband demand from the fast growing Gulf and wider Middle East region not just for this decade, but for the decade beyond." Omantel Executive President Mohammed ibn Ali Al Wohaibi said.
