RIYADH, 4 June 2004 — The bodies of the two Sri Lankans killed in the Alkhobar terror attack were taken to Colombo by Sri Lankan Airlines Flight No. 264 from Dammam yesterday. The next of kin of Sivasubramaniam and Chandana Pradeep Anthony will formally receive the bodies when the airlines reach Colombo at 6 a.m. today.
Anthony’s wife Malika and his mother Mary Francisco will accompany the body while the body of Sivsubramaniam will be received in Colombo by his father Muthulingam from Nuwara Eliya. Ansar said the repatriation costs of the dead bodies were met by the sponsors. The embassy arranged for the tickets of the wife and mother to be met by the Colombo-based Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).
Anthony worked as a chef for the Saad Contracting and Trading Establishment at the Oasis Compound. He married Malika only three months ago. Sivasubramaniam was planning to go on vacation in mid-June to get married in his home town of Nuwar Eliya.
