JEDDAH, 5 June 2004 — New Iraqi President Ghazi Al-Yawar telephoned Crown Prince Abdullah on Thursday to enquire about his health following dental surgery, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The telephone conversation marked the first contact between the two since Yawar was named as Iraq’s first president of the post-Saddam Hussein era on Tuesday. Prince Abdullah also received a call from Morocco’s King Muhammad.
