STME has concluded a regional roadshow, “Enterprise Storage and Disaster Recovery,” that visited Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Egypt. The seminar featured the latest data storage, protection and disaster recovery solutions, plus presentations from STME partners Brocade, Network Appliance, StorageTek and VERITAS Software.
“Data storage is the most important IT investment large Saudi companies make,” said Andrew Calthorpe, senior corporate vice president, STME. “Successful businesses realize this. They want to know more about how mission-critical data storage infrastructure works and find out about new technological developments. This roadshow provided an ideal opportunity for such organizations to understand, and plan for their storage infrastructure.”
Data storage is not something that can be standardized from company to company, Calthorpe pointed out. Different businesses have very different needs.
