IFNA is dedicated to creating the ideal curriculum and syllabus for the study of Islam, Arabic and literature in both full-time schools and also for children schooled at home. IFNA does not solicit or accept funds from any organization either in the US or abroad.
At ifna.net there are complete syllabi covering Islam, reading and Arabic as well as a full discussion of the aims of each. A model weekend school program is also within the website as well as many other resources. IFNA’s goal is to enable schools, teachers and parents to present Islam and its worldview in a logical, faithful and complete way with the idea that through learning in this manner the young will be able to better integrate their spiritual tradition in a variety of societal contexts.
For this purpose IFNA has organized learning materials and compiled lists of grade-appropriate subject matter for grades from KG through 12th covering Islam, Arabic and Reading. The lessons are continuously updated and input from users is highly valued.
Of particular interest to parents hoping to find enriching activities to fill their children’s free time this summer is IFNA’s Student Resource Center. It is located in the left panel of the home page, accessed through the title “Student Resources on the Web.” The Student Resource Center covers topics such as Islamic Studies, Sciences, English, Arabic, Mathematics, Social Studies, Astronomy, Sports and Careers.
