HP Middle East has extended its distribution channels to cater for the Iraqi market. Almasa, Emitac, Scientific Medical Systems and Kuwait Danish Computer Company have signed deals to sell parts of HP’s product portfolio in Iraq.

Almasa has enhanced its existing contract with HP Middle East to act as a Logistic Service Partner (LSP) and Channel Development Partner (CDP) on Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) hardware solutions. This agreement entails that Almasa extends logistics and distribution services to resellers and acts as an extended sales and marketing force to HP in the Iraqi marketplace.

On the Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), as well as the Personal Systems Group (PSG) and Industry Standard Server (ISS) technologies, Emitac has extended its contract to the Iraqi market and has been assigned the role of Logistic Service Partner (LSP) and Channel Development Partner (CDP). Scientific Medical Systems and Kuwait Danish Computer Company have both signed on as Sales and Service Partners (SSP) and have the role of distributing only Intel-based HP products into Iraq.

“Iraq is a key market in the region. We are pleased to have selected prime channel partners who hold HP product expertise as well as local know-how to take on the task of proliferating HP’s solutions portfolio into the Iraqi marketplace,” said Hazem Bazan, solutions partners organization manager, HP Middle East. “Iraq has been on the agenda for some time now. We do look forward to appointing local partners in the near future.”
