With the very popular game Battle Field 1942 online for years now, people are expected to be bored with the usual combat of World War II. The idea for Battle Field is very simple; you have two teams and lots of people in each team. And have them shoot each other while trying to capture the other team’s territory. With this idea you can have from 2 people to 80 people playing the game and trying to shoot there way to victory. BF1942 would be considered the first massive online first person shooter. As you play online you will always be playing from 20 to 50 people. The game isn’t just about killing members of the other team. You play to capture their bases. For example the Vietnamese would have say 3 points and the Americans 1 point at the start of the game. So it is up to the Americans to invade the Vietnamese bases to win. But it isn’t as simple as that, once the Americans have a majority of the bases say 2 to nothing or 3 to 1, the count down timer on the Vietnamese side will start. Both teams start with the same number say 200 but if one of the teams drops to zero then the opposition will win. So if you start with the wrong idea the game will quickly turn into a boring game of hide and seek. So once you have this basic rule set the game becomes amazing to play. One of the reasons that this is very important is because of the sheer size of the levels. They are all absolutely huge! When you think about it, it becomes very practical to include 4 different types of planes to use and 3 types of helicopters to pilot. Driving around in a tank does make you deadly but it also makes you a slow moving target. Perfect for aerial bombing or mine traps or even an assault by 2 or 3 soldiers carrying rocket launchers. The point is it’s not just important to pick the right kind of soldier in the game but also the right vehicles. This is the first game since Halo that forces you to make a decision on which vehicles, what’s better is that this game has about 5 times more vehicles than Halo. And this makes it a perfect game for online play, or even playing it at your school/university/workplace. Just make sure your superiors are OK with the game, or you can go AWOL and put your sneaking tactics into good use and infiltrate the building and play when no one is looking. Don’t blame this article if you get caught. That is your mission soldier! The Score: 8.2

Hello gamers around the world! I send my regards to you from my vacation spot in Istanbul today. Whether you are on vacation or actually live here you can stop and realize one thing, there are absolutely no console gamers here. Sure you have the occasional PC gamer, but you can be sure no one here heard of the X-box or Game Cube. Sure they heard of the PS2 but ask them what games have been released on the game console and they will be as silent as death.
Maybe they think playing console gaming is too expensive. Or maybe they don’t have the time to play console games. Or oh no they think gaming is for “children”.
Whatever the case people here are too busy with there own lives than to be worried about how many lives do they have left and how many potions or med-kits they collected so far or how much gill they have left and how much will it cost them to up grade to the new really cool weapon.
These polls results were kind of unexpected. You have to remember that it reflects readers who aren’t too lazy to send in their e-mail.
