TAIF, 1 August 2004 — Police in Taif arrested a young Saudi wanted in connection with an embezzlement case, Al-Madinah daily reported yesterday. The 27-year-old Saudi is accused of stealing SR85,000 in Jeddah a year ago. He managed to escape and was listed as wanted by police in Jeddah.
He was arrested after police in Taif spotted him and presumed that he matched the description provided by their counterparts in Jeddah. They surrounded the area and arrested the man near Khaled ibn Al-Waleed Bridge. He will be handed over to Jeddah police.
