We all got used to watching those not so interesting anime. You know the type, the ones with the good guys always winning and driving of into the sunset. Unlike the usual mix of anime, Samurai Champloo sets the standard for the new generation of animation.
From the acclaimed director that brought you Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo is the perfect mix of action and comedy. Where the main characters don’t just live on the good deeds that they perform, they live on money and food. So there is an allotment for the element of corruption to exist. It’s that style of realism and story line that gets you hooked to an anime like Samurai Champloo. Not to mention the new style of ultra cool animation.
Clearly not hand drawn but it lies somewhere between Naruto and Cowboy Bebop.
It gives you a very nice relaxed view of the anime. Add a hip soundtrack and you have in your hands a hit. The new hip hop beats and old style DJ mixing really set SC apart from the usual mix of anime.
When all this comes together the anime goes back and forward with the three main characters and their adventures. The music mixes it up by scratching records and in one second the anime switches to other characters in the anime. One of the best things about Samurai Champloo is how far apart it sets itself from other animation. This is done to such an extent that the main story has so many twists and turns that the ending is always unexpected.
Never in an anime have I seen such dramatic endings, it really is a far away from the “let’s run into the sunset now that everything is clear” type of anime.
Can’t wait till all the episodes get released, and by judging how Cowboy Bebop turned out to be, the story is only scratching the surface of the anime.

The movie is scheduled for release this summer in Japan and is also going to be released in the states some time after that. As you all should know the FF7 movie is an 45 min CG film, meaning it’s all done in computer graphics. Can’t wait to see the movie myself.

Mac here, remember your writeup about gamers having no life of all…Well that’s just plain crazy…For me gaming has already been a part of my life…I’ve been a gamer since 1995 maybe earlier…I was playing a family computer when I was 4…and I’m 18 now, and you told that you played games for 10 years NOW TELL ME…isn’t that your life? Haven’t you noticed people who made cricket, basketball or football their life became good at it and made it a part of their lives…the truth is the difference between gamers and sportsmen is that we do it indoors and we also use our brains…we can be fit while being a gamer…just plug in a dance pad…You see gaming is our life and it will be there forever…!

I see our friend here has a few issues about gaming, but instead of making fun of him and myself, I’ll say right on! I am with you 95% on this topic! The only problem is we have become shunned by society and are forced to exist with only people of our own kind. Soon we will be living in sewers playing PS7 and Game Sphere X3. But I guess I could get used to that, just hope the graphics and gampleay are cool.
