London does not need anyone’s sympathy. The English will handle it just fine, thank you. Condolences are in order out of respect for human life lost to outrageous murder. Beyond that, the world, more than London, needs to look at itself and its destiny.

I grew up in that city. I walked its streets, haunted its museums, bedeviled its bookstores, and sort of grew up to see it through the eyes of Charles Dickens through my studies and then my own eyes. Its homes house beloved friends and its cemeteries enclose cherished friends and loved family members.

I must confess that over the years I did not like what I was seeing as far as immigration was concerned. You could hardly find an Anglo-Saxon if you went out hunting for one on the streets of London. I am not a racist, but I am a person who wants to see English men and women when I go to London. I guess London has a bigger racial vision than I do, and I respect that though I do not agree with it.

Many will understand that these statements could not be published in the UK for fear of persecution under some law to do with racial harmony. But I am not English, and will never claim that right even if I find myself there for some odd reason or another. Therefore, I can say what I want. In a nutshell: London needs to be cleaned up.

Being a host to humanity is one thing, being the victim of every deranged bugger is quite another. The English cannot deny that they feel guilt over centuries of colonial abuse of other people. That is a historical fact. But how long do they have to keep paying for it is an issue that no one seems to want to address.

Islam, in its normative form, will live side by side with other faiths and nationalities. But some Muslims, as is seen today, are not ready for cohabitation. Sure enough, the majority of Muslims, and I am one of them, would say that they can do so, but unless we as Muslims clean our house, the issue is rather academic.

In the mayhem of the London explosions, the Egyptian ambassador to Iraq was murdered. The statement issued by his murderers said, and I quote, “He did not believe that Christians were Kafirs, and therefore the rule of God was carried out on him as he became one of them.”

In plain English, Muslims who do not adhere to that strange theology are as much a target as others. Did that ring a bell with MI5 and 6? That, my dear friends, is where the investigation should start. Those around here pontificating in print about how they “condemn” the London bombings should look around in their immediate vicinities to see where it all started and where it all ends.

Much could be said and elaborated upon, but we live in times of caution and heavy censorship. Suffice it to say that London is already buzzing with its usual activities and as the UK ambassador to the UN said, “It is a city where 300 languages are spoken and 200 nationalities live side by side.” With all due respect to his excellency, I’d rather it spoke one language and had one nationality.
