JEDDAH, 7 September 2005 — National companies and local dealers are coming close to agreement to establish a company that will monitor the market for counterfeit products. Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported. The company will detect violating factories and stores that sell and make counterfeit products and take proceedings against them through the courts. This step came after the sharp rise in sales of fake products, that harm the companies that make the original products and agents that sell them, in the local market.
