NEW DELHI, 11 September 2005 — In a poll-eve jolt to the Lok Janshakti Party, former MP Pappu Yadav and the party’s state general secretary Sant Kumar Singh yesterday joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) after resigning from the primary membership of LJP.
Pappu Yadav and Singh announced their decision to join RJD in the presence of its senior leaders, including federal minister Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav, former state minister Shakuni Choudhury and Patna MP Ramkripal Yadav at a news conference here. LJP’s East Champaran district general secretary Sunil Kumar also joined RJD.
