Sterci, the Geneva-based software provider of STP solutions, announced that BNP Paribas Riyadh had selected Stelink financial messaging solution for SARIE connectivity. BNP Paribas Riyadh is in the process of starting operations in the Kingdom. Already present in five locations in the Middle East — Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha and Kuwait — BNP Paribas is increasing its presence in the region with its new site in Riyadh. Stelink will be integrated with the BNP Paribas Riyadh core banking system to process payment over SARIE (Saudi Arabian Local EFT).
Jerome Gaubicher, head of the Middle East Regional IT Department at BNP Paribas, said of the choice, “We selected Stelink for its capabilities to connect to SARIE and to provide local support. Additionally Stelink will convert our payment messages in SWIFT format into the SARIE proprietary format. This very useful function will allow us to implement quickly an automatic connection to SARIE sparing us from more time consuming specific development.”
EJADA, the local partner for Sterci, will be leading in the BNP Paribas Riyadh implementation and the ongoing support.
