DUBAI, 18 September 2005 — One of the world’s fastest growing airlines — Emirates — saw its fleet touch the 80 mark yesterday with the arrival of a new Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range). The aircraft is Emirates’ fifth Boeing 777-300ER of a total 30 on firm order. The remaining 25 will be added by the end of 2007, according to a press release quoted by the local news agency WAM. The fleet is forecast to reach 100 aircraft by the end of 2006, with and impressive order book worth almost $30 billion.
