Aramex, part of Arab International Logistics (AIL) and listed on the Dubai Financial Market, has acquired Priority Airfreight, a major UK-based express service provider that specializes in courier traffic between the UK and the United States. The acquisition of Priority Airfreight, which boasts 25 years of experience in the express business, will significantly boost Aramex’s shipment volume between the American and European continents and enhance its share of the cross Atlantic express trade. A licensed US corporate broker and a UK import broker, Priority will also bring to Aramex critical access to the US and UK markets that is sure to strengthen its presence in these two major countries. “This strategic move by Aramex will allow us to be much more creative with our service offerings and much more aggressive with our service performance. The acquisition positions us very well in an extremely competitive sector at a time of upsurge in demand and growth,” Aramex CEO Fadi Ghandour, said.
