SAUDI ARABIA’s premier event organizer, Jeddah-based Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions Ltd. (ACE), has scheduled three major international trade shows during the last two months of 2005, following the holy month of Ramadan. The shows include the prestigious Saudi International Motor Show from Nov. 13-18, Makkah International Book Fair from Nov. 28-Dec. 7, and COMMTEL from Dec. 12-16.
“The motor show — Saudi Arabia’s 27th international event for vehicles, motorcycles, auto parts, accessories and garage equipment — is oversubscribed and the COMMTEL is going to be a full house,” according to ACE’s Exhibitions director Zahoor Siddique.
“The International Book Fair in Makkah is being organized as a major feature celebrating the status the holy city enjoys as the capital of Islamic culture,” he said.
ACE, the Kingdom’s leading event organizer, has been the first to own dedicated exhibition venues and organize international trade shows in the Kingdom. Over the past 25 years, it has staged more than 300 exhibitions in Jeddah across a wide range of industry sectors. A considerable number of goods and services available to the market were first introduced to the Kingdom at these exhibitions.
COMMTEL-Saudi Arabia’s 20th international event for computing, computer shopper, the internet, office equipment and accessories, business communications and mobile phones — assumes importance, as the Kingdom is one of the largest IT sectors and, more importantly, the fastest growing in the Middle East.
For 2006, like in the previous years, ACE has lined up eight major international exhibitions. They include MEETES - Middle East Education & Training Exhibition and Symposium — from March 5-9. “This is the only dedicated education show in the Kingdom that attracts local as well as international participation,” he said.
