Discovery Channel hosted an exclusive preview screening of its “Big Stuff” stunt,” which is scheduled to broadcast exclusively on the Showtime television network from Oct. 24-29. The screening at the Jeddah Science and Technology Center featured the Big Stuff stunt followed by an invitation-only screening of the second episode of the Discovery Channel special “Giant of the Skies: Building Airbus A380.” Hosted by film star and fanatical pilot John Travolta, the documentary goes behind-the-scenes of the building of the world’s biggest commercial airliner. When it goes into commercial operation next year, the A380 is expected to change the history of aviation. The last screening of episodes of the documentary ends today on Discovery Channel exclusively on the Showtime network in the Middle East. Tension is building as engineers nervously battle to meet looming delivery deadlines and Airbus can start recouping its $10.7 billion investment.
