JEDDAH, 2 October 2005 — The total number of underwriters in Dana Gas has exceeded 300,000, of which 45 percent are Saudis, Madinah newspaper reported. A local bank economist in UAE said that the number of Saudi underwriters had increased every day. Banks in the UAE were not used to such overcrowd and they had to open more branches and work extra hours to accommodate the large number.
