JEDDAH, 5 October 2005 — The Saudi British Bank (SABB) recently offered an educational lecture at the Laylati hall for around 400 of its female consumers on the subject of stock investments. Three major topics were discussed; the Saudi Economy and joining the World Trade Organization (WTO), investing in the Saudi stock market and the profits and the dangers of the investment funds. After the opening ceremony the first topic was presented by Azizah Alkhateeb, an economic consultant. She outlined the importance of developing managerial thinking styles for every individual who is interested in investment. Samraa Alquoiz, a stock expert agreed with Alkhateeb and explained that the Saudi investment market is undergoing a huge growth. “Around SR22 million was invested in the Saudi market during the past couple of days. We have also become the eleventh biggest stock exchange internationally when the Saudi market reached a worth of SR 2,200 billion,” she said.
