SEAGULLS Restaurant is taking wing during Ramadan with a constantly changing series of menu offerings designed to make iftar gatherings special. The popular restaurant also has plans to expand its format throughout the Kingdom through franchising. At a recent gathering designed to showcase its Ramadan specials to guests and media, the restaurant staff showed its mastery over several styles of fine cuisine.
“I like Seagulls because it offers a variety of tasty food including Indian, Middle Eastern and continental cuisine prepared by professional cooks,” said Dr. Faisal Bukhari of the Fisheries Research Center who attended the event. Bukhari said that he and his family were regular customers of the restaurant. In just a year and a half, the restaurant has established a reputation for quality and variety. It offers Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes in addition to Saudi and Indian cuisine.
The restaurant, located close to Samsung Showroom in Ruwais, welcomes guests in groups during Ramadan for iftar and sahoor by reservation.
“We can serve 500 guests at a time for outside catering service and 75 inside our restaurant,” said owner Omar Hamad Battal. “We are on the verge of establishing a catering service for large companies and hotels.”
Restaurant management says quality and variety are the keys to its success “We supply quality cuisine,” said Abdul Jaleel Kakkat, restaurant manager. “We want our guests to enjoy different recipes every day during Ramadan so that it doesn‚t get monotonous.”
Battal said they have completed all the formalities related to trade mark registration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Ministry. Now plans are under way to establish Seagulls franchises in major cities across the Kingdom.
