JEDDAH, 10 October 2005 — The 15 percent salary raise ordered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for government servants beginning this Ramadan will be paid without any delay, Abdul Rahman Al-Abdul Qader, deputy civil service minister said. “The new salary raise comes into effect from the beginning of this Ramadan and will be paid on time,” he said. The official’s affirmation comes after a number of government employees had expressed their fears that the raise would be delayed to next month.
