RIYADH, 10 October 2005 — Saudi Arabia’s Arab National Bank’s net profit for the first nine months of 2005 rose 57 percent to SR1.41 billion ($376 million), the bank said yesterday. It said the bank’s loan portfolio grew by 32 percent to SR36.3 billion, customer deposits grew 17 percent to SR46 billion and total assets reached SR64.3 billion. Net interest income at the end of the third quarter increased by 18 percent to SR1.64 billion and banking fees grew 48 percent to SR493 million. The bank also realized SR87 million in capital gains, it said.
