RIYADH, 11 October 2005 — Saudi Investment Bank (SAIB) said yesterday its nine-month net profit rose 78 percent to SR776.5 million ($207 million) from SR435.9 million in the same period last year. Total assets grew 40 percent to SR36.2 billion, while its loan portfolio rose 65.9 percent to SR19.2 billion, the bank said. Customer deposits were up 38 percent at SR24.8 billion. The bank said its investment portfolio grew 27 percent to SR11.1 billion. Return on average shareholder equity rose to 24.6 percent from 19.8 percent.
