ALKHOBAR, 15 October 2005 — As a special offer during Ramadan, Mobily PrePaid customers can recharge their accounts with any means of recharge and obtain an additional credit bonus. This will provide prepaid customers with an incentive to top up their accounts and the company hopes it will turn initial subscribers into mid- to long-term customers.
The promotion starts today, Oct. 15, and ends on Nov. 5. Customers can recharge as often as they choose during the promotion period. Even customers who bought the scratch cards before the promotion period, but recharged them during the promotion period will benefit. The Mobily package, “Rihal”, is excluded from this promotion, but subscribers under the student package are included.
During the promotion period all recharges will obtain an additional bonus. For example, scratch card denominations of SR30 will receive a bonus of SR10.20 with a total of SR40.20 credited to the account. Scratch card denominations of SR60 will receive a bonus of SR20.40 with a total of SR80.40 credited to the account. Scratch card denominations of SR90 will receive a bonus of SR30.60 with the total credit at SR120.60. Basically, Mobily will provide a 34 percent bonus to all customers on recharge. All denominations of scratch card from SR30 to SR240 are covered. For all other recharge methods, e.g., M-Pay or Siebel, the same rule applies.
Humoud Al-Ghobaini, corporate communications manager at Mobily, stated that the credit is not confined to a specific usage.
“The bonus is actual credit in the account, it can be used for any existing or future Mobily services, e.g. international calling, SMS, MMS etc. It should also be noted that the bonus will not expire as long as the customer has a valid account. Mobily is the first telecom provider to make such an offer to customers in the Kingdom.”
To avail themselves of the Ramadan bonus, Mobily subscribers simply recharge their accounts in the normal fashion. When the account is recharged the credit will be automatically included. There is no separate message informing him of the bonus credit. The overall account total will, however, reflect the increase.
