JEDDAH, 22 October 2005 — The Ministry of Health has set up a hot line and launched a program called “Hello... Healthy Ramadan” for people and patients. The hot line offers health information and advice. Anybody can call between midnight and 3 p.m. at 012916754 throughout Ramadan. According to ministry spokesperson Dr. Khalid Marghalani, the callers’ questions will be put to specialists and doctors. Health Minister Dr. Hamad Al-Manie pointed out that the service aims to provide people with more knowledge about health and good eating habits. Through this hot line, he said, people would be able to ask about nutrition, fasting, diabetes, cholesterol and other issues.
