KUWAIT, 27 October 2005 — Global Investment House reported nine-month net profit of 41.7 million dinars ($143 million) on Tuesday, up more than threefold from the 12.47 million it earned in the same period a year earlier. The Kuwait-based company said in a statement that earnings per share rose to 163 fils from 55 fils. Total revenue for the period stood at 53 million dinars, but it gave no comparative figure for the year-earlier period. For the latest three-month period, earnings rose to 21.62 million dinars from 5.04 million with per-share earnings of 79 fils, up from 22 fils. Chairman Anwar Al-Nouri said the investment firm had witnessed growth in assets under management to 1.7 billion dinars by the end of September from 1.4 billion a month earlier.
