MANAMA, 27 October 2005 — Bahrain-based Gulf Finance House (GFH) reported a 93 percent increase in its nine-month 2005 net profit to $92 million. A bank statement said a major share of GFH’s earnings so far this year came from investment banking fees and gains from the sale of projects and investments. It said assets during the first nine months of 2005 also rose 81 percent to $840 million from $465 million in the same 2004 period.
