RIYADH, 29 October 2005 — King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology blocked five Internet sites that offer consultations on the Saudi stock market. According to Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper, the sites provided paid recommendations that are sent to small investors and misled them in buying or selling stocks. The Capital Market Authority spokesperson said that any investor harmed by the recommendations made or by any unlicensed electronic sites and that violate the CMA rules can file a case against them.
