KUWAIT, 30 October 2005 — Kuwait’s Mobile Telecommunications Co. (MTC) posted a 52 percent rise in nine-month net profit to a record 136.4 million dinars ($467 million), as revenue topped $1.3 billion. The Middle Eastern telecoms firm said in a statement on Friday that earnings rose from 89.5 million dinars in the year-ago period.
