JEDDAH, 31 October 2005 — Dr. Waheeb Linjawi, president and managing Director of Saudi Cable Company (SCC) group, said that the company had won a contract for providing 350 kilometers of medium pressure cables for a neighboring country. The contract is worth around SR56 million. The SCC won the contract despite competition from international companies. With this contract, Saudi Cable becomes the main provider of cables and electric connectors for the neighboring country. The new cables will be used to execute an ambitious project to renew the ground distribution network in several key cities.
