Dell has brought to the Middle East market three new Dimension desktop computers for home and small businesses. The Dimension 9150 is targeted to tech-savvy consumers demanding the latest technology. The Dimension 5150 is for those wanting a balance between cost-efficiency and technology and the Dimension 1100 is a good choice consumers seeking value for money.

The Dimension 9150 combines sleek modern looks with powerful technology. Massive storage, optional dual optical drives and advanced graphics solutions make this the hub of a serious home entertainment or digital content creation system. The 9150 also features Balanced Technology Extended (BTX) design for improved cooling and the optional 9-in-1 flash card reader allows users to transfer digital images, music and video files between the PC, camera and PDAs. Additional USB ports enable connection to all peripheral devices.

Midway Arcade Treasures 3

Parents have a hard time keeping up with the latest videogames, so Midway Games has a suggestion — go retro. In October, Midway Games released Midway Arcade Treasures 3 for the Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2. This is a compilation of eight classic Midway arcade racing games. They also made available Midway Arcade Treasures: Deluxe Edition for PC, which includes 28 classic arcade games. Midway Arcade Treasures: Deluxe Edition features games found in both Midway Arcade Treasures 2 and Midway Arcade Treasures 3. All titles are priced at $19.99.

In November, look for Midway’s first release for the PSP. “Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play,” which includes 21 classic arcade games from the “best of” Midway Arcade Treasures and Midway Arcade Treasures 2. This PSP system collection is scheduled to be released at a price of $29.99.

Notebook With HD DVD-ROM Drive

Toshiba has brought high-definition imaging to portable computing with the development of the world’s first notebook PC integrating a slim-type HD DVD-ROM drive. Toshiba plans to commercialize the new PC by the beginning of 2006, initially in Japan, giving computer users access to high definition video images recorded in the HD DVD format.

With TV moving toward high definition digital broadcasts and PCs increasingly integrating advanced AV capabilities, including TV tuners, demand is emerging for high definition programming and content.
